The Psion Teklogix 7666-0161XXXXXRX undecoded 8′ coiled scanner cable connects the Powerscan series of barcode laser scanners to a number of Psion Teklogix vehicle mount terminals – like the 8525 and the 8530. The JB5 series connectors are small circular connectors with IP68 waterproof-rating and push-pull mating structure enable easy insertion and removal. They have high environmental durability and user-friendly designs that can be widely used in medical, measurement and communication equipment as well as handheld PCs, scanners and other small equipment. The length of the Psion Teklogix 7666-0162 has both coiled and straight sections. Fully extended, in the instance of a fork truck driver stepping off of a lift to scan product, extends to about 8′. An 12′ version, the Psion Teklogix 7666-0162, is more manageable in seated or walk around scanning circumstances.
Works in undecoded mode f0r
PSC, the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the scanner, also produced cables for this application. They were the 8-0419-48 for the 12′ foot version and 8-0419-49 in the 8′ version. Psion was never a scanner manufacturer and choose to private labeled the Powerscan series as the had the 5300 series PSC products. Psion, now part of the Motorola Zebra group, is migrating to teh Motorola scanners, – the LS3408ER Lorax, near-far product being the best example.
Note that this Powerscan early version scanner is an enduring design that is still available from Ivanhoe Group and repaired by our QuickTurn team.
