The half screen-VGA horizontal form factor offers superior usability as a handheld product and with the unit's easy in/out docking system doubles as a convenient vehicle mounted unit. The LXE MX3 also has a unique "glow-in-the-dark" phosphorescent material keypad, which eliminates the need for power consuming backlighting and comes in four configurable keyboard options, including ABCD and QWERTY layouts.

The LXE MX3 can also be ordered with a choice of endcaps that include integrated scanning for simplified data entry and RS-232 capabilities.
